We salvaged the Monterey Cypress for this epic project from a local community tree service. Stunning wood that would have otherwise been chipped became a functional piece of art added to a Carmel Valley home. This project provided a complex design challenge that we were able to achieve through highly detailed work using CAD to create a model of the staircase piece by piece, considering how each block and all of the elements fit together to arrive flush between the top and bottom floors of this home. When the last block was lowered into place, the feeling was pure satisfaction, as our planning and hand-crafting of each piece met the moment of installation perfectly.
We will be adding a custom Cypress wood handrail to make this project complete.
